Isn't there an easier way to check for new comments in blog entries without having to click on every stupid link?

Hehehe, yeah I have the same question.
doesn't the caption blink if ther are new comments?
it also blinks when you move the mouse pointer on the link. so it's confusing.
I don't see any of that, and I tried both firefox and IE. Does that stuff show up only for authors?
