weak managers...
my manager is so weak. not physically, althought that might be true too.
so there was this project i worked on, 90% of the project has to do will billing stuff, and 10% has to do with a 3rd party application which was the only part *I* was responsible to test. now a bug has come back in the billing front end and needs URGENT testing to make sure fix is ok, the original lead named me as the front end responsible person to test the fix, i replied with everyone on the thread that "look the status reports all says that section was tested by the lead" so i have no freaking idea what they tested, what else was changed and might break.
my weak manager comes back with an email to me saying he freaking lost the pushback on this and can i verify the fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's like "hey, can you go correct some Political History Final Exam papers" when my major was Electrical Engineering or something.

Funny you mention this. Now that my section got absorbed by another manager, he's assigned me to work on a component I've NEVER been on. Yeah, real effective. Anyway, its not like I'm productive anyway.
at least you still have a job... i thought a lot of your coworkers lost theirs? was it a big cut or just really reshuffling of responsibilities and groups?
